In Lauren Conrad's cover shoot for GLAMOUR, she embodies the carefree, sunny feel of summer. In the look pictured above, her heels and gold jewelry dress it up without making it too stuffy. Sometimes accessorizing is about bringing balance to a look, but this floral dress with a heart-shaped neckline is so pretty and feminine, it calls for complimentary shoes and jewelry that add to the girly feel of the look.

The simple gold necklace and gold bangles add a feminine touch without taking away from the dress. You certainly couldn't top off that look with flat, casual sandals. Lauren's strappy shoes with chunky heels are just formal enough but still have that summer feel. This overall look is perfect for a summer wedding or a romantic summer date in the city.
